Vance Fairchild is President of TRC-ECON, a subsidiary based in Houston,
Texas, that provides risk management services to clients. Prior to merging
with TRC, he lead ECON's profitable consulting practice with over $2 million
in annualized revenue, as well as managed ECON's investments in several
Brownfields redevelopment initiatives. Prior to forming ECON, Mr. Fairchild
worked several years in various risk management positions for an energy
pipeline company and subsequently served as president of a regional environmental
consulting firm.
At TRC, Mr. Fairchild supports the development of Exit Strategy projects
in the South and Southwest and all across the Country for energy industry
clientele. He has a broad experience base that includes having negotiated
large insurance settlements, third-party liability and indemnity cost
recoveries, liability management and asset monetization for large multi-property
portfolios, regulated rate case settlements, and developed balanced reserve
recognition for financial reporting. Mr. Fairchild routinely applies liability
quantification modeling techniques, including montecarlo simulation, stochastic
decision analysis, and time of occurrence models to facilitate resolution
to third party and regulatory disputes. He also supports client due diligence
efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures having managed the
liability quantification and risk transfer for over 30 successful energy,
oil, and gas transactions comprised of $7.5 Billion market cap and $100
million of assets and environmental liabilities. Mr. Fairchild has a unique
combination of technical and business acumen that is well matched for
supporting Exit Strategy programs.
Mr. Fairchild graduated magna cum laude in civil / environmental engineering
from Texas A&M University, received numerous academic achievement
awards and later earned a masters in business administration. He is a
Registered Environmental Manager, and member of several industry and professional
trade organizations.
